[..The final countdown..]

Today I had my 37 week check and it looks like the stork is circling the neighborhood! My Doctor pretty much told me that this baby could come anyday now. He is head down and ready to go, which is such a relief because Tatum was breech and ended in a C-Section. I am now starting to get a bit nervous, its so real now that he is well on his way! I still have some final preperations but for the most part I feel ready. The Nursery is just about finished, clothes are washed, house is organized and cleaned, and now I just need to pack our bags and install the carseat. We couldnt be more excited for this little one to join our family. I feel so old when I say that I am going to have 2 kids...that will take some getting used to. I cant believe in just a matter of days we wil go from a family of 3 to a family of 4! I am so ready for this next chapter of my life...I cant wait to meet my new little guy!!

[..California..]

Wow I am really behind on my blogging, its pretty much the last thing that I want to do lately. Can you blame me, I am 8 months pregnant! Anyways, a few weeks ago we were able to take a much needed trip to Cali. We took our friends Josh and Brooke with us this time and had such a blast. Sorry, this is going to be a really long post because I have so many pictures of all the fun stuff we packed into a week!

To start off we got some cheap tickets to a Dodgers game. When I say cheap I mean seats as high up as you can get!

We were able to go to the beach a few times. Tatum loved the sand but didn't really love the water. Every time the water came close he would use the force to make the water go away. Pretty funny...

We took Josh and Brooke to Disneyland. This was the only theme park that I was ok going to being pregnant. We went on a good day, the crowds werent bad. Plus Josh and Brooke talked us into getting a wheel chair. Worth.Every.Penny!!!! I will never do Disneyland without one again! Seriously, you may laugh, but it gets you into the front of every line! Not only was is great for me, but it doubled as a stroller for Tatum too...

Eric's high school friend Preston lives near Anaheim and we were able to get together for an Angels game. Preston has season tickets that are right behind home plate, much better than at the Dodgers. He has a little boy Tatum's age named Sawyer and these two just hit it off. They were instantly best friends.

We also had a few celeb sightings while down there. First we went to a taping of Jay Leno again. As we were leaving we saw him drive off the lot. So we decided to try our hand out as Paparazzi. Turns out we are pretty bad at it. This was our best shot, and yes that is Eric's hand in the way...

While we were eating lunch at the Sidewalk Cafe in Vencie, we noticed that at the table right next to us was sitting Greg Grunberg from Heroes.

And lastly at Disneyland we saw Scott Macintyre from American Idol. He was the blind guy on the season with David Archuleta. (I hope thats not offensive)

All of these guys were so nice and talked to us for a while. Even Jay was waving to us from his car! It was pretty cool.

[..My Little Gymnast..]

Sadly enough Tatum's gym class is over for the summer. To end the year they put on a big performance for their parents to see all of their tricks. The whole thing was so incredibly cute! Tatum did so good, I was so impressed. He sat against the wall and waited for his turn so patiently and then got up and did his trick and sat back down. I didn't get pictures of his awesome tricks because I was videotaping, but let me tell you, they were pretty awesome! After every kid got to do their tricks Miss Heather presented each of them with a gold metal.

The rest of the night Tatum had to show everyone his gold metal...he even slept with it on that night :) All night he kept telling me how brave he was and I have to agree with him. There were a lot of people there and it must have been so scary for such little kids to perform in front of. Good job my little Bub, I am so proud of you!

The {10 Week} Countdown

Well I am down to only 10 weeks left before baby T-Rex joins our family. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by! It is still hard for me to believe that in 10 short weeks we are going to have another sweet baby boy around this house.

Everything with this pregnancy has gone so perfectly that sometimes I forget that there really is a baby in there. The only "hiccup" so far happened at my 20 week checkup. I found out that my Dr. of 4 years was leaving me and transferring to a Salt Lake practice in early June. I am due in July, so naturally I freaked out! They had scheduled a replacement Dr. to come fill her spot in March and I was told that I could choose to start seeing the new Dr. now or wait until June to switch. At my 28 week check I decided to go ahead and meet the new Dr. to get to know her better. Before I even met the Dr. her nurse came in to measure me and told me that I measured 25 weeks. She then brought the Dr. in to double check. She got the same measurement and decided that since I'm a new patient that she would like to do an ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing correctly. They had to schedule it for a week later and let me tell you that whole week I was a total mess! I thought of every possible outcome and of course freaked myself out. I went in for the ultrasound and found out that the baby was perfect. I was 28 weeks and 2 days along and the baby measured exactly to the day 28 weeks and 2 days! That was such a relief. She said that the baby was folded in half with his legs over his head and that could be why I measured so small. So here is the most recent picture of our little man.

I was shocked when I saw this picture because you can so perfectly see his little face. Its like he is looking right at me and saying hi...so stinkin cute!

As far as Tatum goes, I think he totally understands what is happening. Everyday he asks me how my baby is and wants to feel him move. He always tells me how much he loves the baby. Its so sweet it just melts my heart. I know he will be a great big brother!

I have been in full nesting mode lately realizing that 10 weeks really isn't that long, especially when we have so much going on from now until D-Day! In the next 1o weeks we have my Birthday, we are planing a trip to Cali, have our 5 Year Anniversary, have a Lake Powell trip (which I will opt out of), my Sister-in-law is getting married, Eric's Birthday and the 4th of July! Pretty much every weekend has something for the next 10 weeks!! Yikes! So if I don't blog much during that time you know why ;)

[..Mr. Bunny..]

The other day I was talking to Tatum about Easter. I talked about Christ and the Resurrection and then told him about the Easter Bunny. Well all he got out of the conversation was that Mr. Bunny was coming to his house to bring him Star Wars toys and candy. Go figure!

We had such a nice Easter weekend, busy and bit crazy, but so nice! We started our weekend with an Easter egg hunt at Grandma Mary's. Each kid had their own color egg to find and Tatum was so excited to get his favorite color orange.

This picture makes me laugh because it is so Tatum. He always has his tongue stickin out, especially when he is concentrating on something.

After the egg hunt we left to go straight to my Aunt's house in Ogden for my family's Easter celebration. We had another egg hunt and then celebrated my Grandpa's 89th Birthday!

These kids were trying to sneak out early for the egg hunt...

Cute Logan in his bunny ears...

Saturday night we had a slumber party at our friend Josh and Brooke's house with our other friends Mike and Jessica. They have a little one year girl named Brinley who is so adorable. Tatum loves her and calls her his girlfriend. He holds her hand and gives her kisses, its so sweet! Here is the happy couple...

We woke up Easter morning and made some crepes while everyone searched for their baskets. Tatum was so excited to find that Mr. Bunny brought him just what he wanted...Star Wars toys and candy.

The rest of the day was spent visiting Eric's parents and both his grandparents, the Larsen's and Wilson's. It was a bit much for me being 6 months pregnant and I guarantee that I spent the day after Easter lounging around my house in my pajamas :)

..[Tatum's Room]..

I finally got around to finishing Tatum's room! This project took me a while but I told myself that I couldn't start the nursery until I finished Tatum's room first. This room is probably one of my favorite before and afters...wait until you see the befores, they were pretty bad!

{BEFORE}

When we first moved in this room was the only room in the house that they had done anything to. Every other wall in the house was white! They had this ugly wall paper up that had a fishing theme in these ugly puke colors. They went to the effort of putting a chair rail up but then went ahead and painted it and the floorboards puke brown!!! It took me 4 coats of paint to cover it up! Ok enough chatting, here are the before pics...

{AFTER}

After we moved in I started thinking about what the perfect big boy room would look like. I brainstormed and after about 6 months I finally got an idea of what I wanted. I think it turned out pretty close to what I imagined.

I spent 6 months searching and searching for the perfect bedding to go along with my color scheme. I never found one I loved that was in my price range. So one day I was at the fabric store and fell in love with this fabric. I decided to make his bedding and I love how it turned out!

Along with the bedding I also made a curtain for his one and only window.

I took some old frames and painted them white and got some brown paper to back up the pictures to make it look like matting. I just love the brown accents!

Next I repainted these plaques from Tatum's old room to match his big boy color scheme.

This is Eric's one contribution...he found this picture and had to have it for Tatum's room. Its a good thing the colors work with the rest of the room :)

Last is the closet. One of my most favorite parts of this house is that every.single.room has a HUGE walk in closet! This closet serves two purposes, clothes storage and a play room!

I tried to figure out a good way to store books, this was what I came up with! All books are sorted so I can pull one basket down and Tatum can go to town with minimal mess!!

I still have a few more things that I want to do to finish his room but I may never get around to them. For now this is good enough and now I can finally start work on the nursery. It probably will be another 6 months before I post any pics of the nursery. So enjoy this for now!

..[St. Patties Day]..

This year I really wanted to go all out for St. Patrick's Day because I totally forgot about it last year. But of course things got busy and I got lazy and I kind of forgot again. So when I woke up realizing it was a holiday, I rushed downstairs and made some green pancakes. I waited and waited and waited for Tatum to wake up. This little stinker woke up at 10:00! That never happens! At least that explains his "bed head" in the bottom picture!

He thought it was so fun to have everything green! By the time he ate I had to rush him upstairs to get ready for his gym class. It was like pulling teeth. This kid LOVES his jammies! Sometimes it takes some major persuasion to get him dressed. I started to tell him that he had to wear green because it was St. Patrick's Day and then went on to explain what St. Patrick's Day was. I watched as the look on his face went from calm to confused to terrified as I explained that people would pinch him if he didn't wear green. My mistake!

After gym cousin Noah came and brought Tatum these awesome glasses (Tatum's exact words). I thought they were so funny that I had to get some pictures.

Well as strange as this holiday might be, Tatum sure had fun enjoying all of the "green" and thats all that matters.
