Tball allstar

This spring we put Tatum in Tball. We tried Soccer before and it was a total bust, and after practicing baseball with Tatum, we thought this would be a good fit. And boy were we right! He loved every second of it and talks about going "pro" some day :)

The Red Sox:

Tatum had an awesome swing, raising his leg like a pro. He did better hitting coach pitch then off the tee.

Coach James was the best coach around. He did weekly practices and got every kid hitting coach pitch by the end of the season. We cannot thank him enough!

This season was so much fun and I seriously can't wait until next season!

Kindergarten Program

Just before school ended, Tatum's class put on the cutest program. They sang songs and shared stories they had written and his teacher put together a slide show. It made me so proud to see all that he has learned and accomplished this year in Kindergarten.

They all held up signs showing how many teeth they lost this year. Poor Tatum still hasn't lost a tooth and sure feels left out!

Mrs. Reiber had these shirts made for all of the kids. She had each kid draw a picture of themselves and write their name, then she made shirts out of it...so cute! After the program we went back to the classroom where each kid had a display of their work from the year.

The end of the year project was to put together an ABC book. Each child had to decide what their book would be about and (with the help of their mom's) create an ABC book. Here is Tatum's book.

I am so in love with this book!! Tatum drew all of the pictures and wrote all of the words, I just scanned them, cropped them and put them together in Photoshop. I am so glad that I have this adorable keepsake from Tatum's kindergarten year. I definitely will be doing this for each of my kids. Here are some of my favorite pages.

Tatum and his wonderful teacher...Mrs. Reiber.

I got so sad on the last day of school, I actually cried as I gave his teacher a hug and drove off! This year was so wonderful that I was anticipating the last day of school to be the worst day! Tatum made so many friends, learned how to read well above his level and seriously loved every single day of school. I can't believe he is a 1st grader now! I am such a proud parent!

Memorial Day

This Memorial Day we went down to Spanish Fork to visit Grandpa Wilson's grave. It was my first time visiting since he past in December. His headstone was just put in and it looked beautiful. It was surrounded by so many flowers that its clear he is very loved!

Grandpa was in the navy during WWII and his name was on the wall of honor and it was on one of the many crosses in the field.

These boys are way too cool...

We also got to visit Eric's Mom's family members. Her grandparents were Larson's to and she has many generations buried here. Its kind of funny because they were originally Larsen's with an EN but her great grandmother decided she didn't like it that way and changed it to an ON.

I love to visit the cemetery on Memorial Day. It always amazes me how many flowers are on the grave sites and it really is such a beautiful site.
