Someone had a Birthday...

The day after New Beginnings, my best friend Tatum turned 6! I love this boy more than words can say and it was so much fun to spend the day revolved around him. We had a very busy and fun filled day celebrating another year for this handsome man. It started in the morning waking up to balloons and streamers.

He then came down stairs to a special breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes and presents!

as good as it gets...

On Wednesdays I volunteer in Tatum's class and I was so excited to be in there on his birthday. He wore his crown all day long and brought treats to share with his classmates. While I was there I arranged with another mom to take her daughter, Camryn, to Kangaroo Zoo after school. Camryn and Tatum love each other! They call each other Boyfriend and Girlfriend (although Dad makes sure he calls her a friend thats a girl! :) Camryn made Tatum a special Valentine that said "You are a good friend, I love you, I want to marry you." Oh my heart I am in trouble! Well I took her home with us and fed them lunch and when we were heading out to Kangaroo Zoo, she started chasing Tatum around trying to kiss him.

She finally succeeded! They had a blast at Kangaroo Zoo as you can tell from the pictures.

Trey was there too.

At one point Camryn started tackling Tatum. Im not sure how much he liked it, but it made me laugh.

After Kangaroo Zoo, Eric was done with work and we took Tatum to eat at his favorite restaurant, Rumbi Grill. Im so glad he didn't choose McDonald's and went with something I actually enjoy!

After dinner we had a surprise for Tatum and took him to get his big present. Although you can't tell from the picture, he really was excited.

This bike is huge for him but it made no sense getting the a smaller one that he will outgrow in a year. You can see just how big it is in the next picture (sorry its blurry).

We took him home and tried out his bike. He was able to ride it, but hopefully he will grow a bit more before summer :)

There is more to come on the Birthday celebrations. Saturday was his friend party and it was so much fun!

New Beginnings

I finally got around to downloading all of my pictures from the past 2 months. I have been so behind! As I was going through my pictures I found all of the ones from New Beginnings. New beginnings is a night for all the Young Women to recognize the new girls coming in through out the upcoming year. We decided to go with a Dr. Seuss theme and I just love how all the details came together. Here is a look into the project that consumed my month of February :)

Each of the girls went home with one of these frames from Ikea and a swirly pop.

This was the entry table explaining the different values.

Thing 1 and Thing 2

Seussical swirls aka the death of me cookies! These suckers were so time consuming and really didn't taste that great. They sure did look good though :)

Truffala Trees

My cute Beehives, don't mind Claire making a face. In all of my pictures she is making a silly face!

A few of the Mia Maids.

All of the girls

The Lorax

and all of us awesome leaders who were the master minds behind it all!

I love these ladies so much and it really was worth all the hard work to put this night together.

Valentines Day

I love Valentines Day. Its just one of those simple holidays to show those you love most how much you care. I don't do much for Valentines Day but I love to give my boys little surprises when they wake up.

We made Valentines for Tatum to take to class and for his teachers. Thanks Markey for the cute teacher gift idea!

When Tatum left for school he found another surprise from Grandma Mary!

And here are some of the kids Valentines pics.

Trey wouldn't let me take his picture. I even gave him a sucker to squeeze a smile out of him and it didn't work.

Fail! But later in the week I had some of the young women over to take pictures for New Beginnings. We did a Dr. Seuss theme and Trey jumped right in to get his picture taken. Don't mind his undies. When we are home this kid has no pants on 90% of the time :)

Silly kids. I am so lucky to be these boys mom and am grateful for fun holidays like this to spend some quality time with them.
