First foods

I hate the baby food stage so much! I have put off feeding Cambria solids until she was 6 months old and even then I only did the rice cereal and oatmeal. I put Cambria in the bumbo and gave it a shot. The first pictures are just her sitting in her bumbo. I never got any pictures of her sitting in it for the first time, she loves her bumbo!

Cambria is so ready to eat solids. She tries to always grab our food and everything she gets a hold of ends up in her mouth. When we gave her the first few tastes of cereal she could not get enough!

Love this little girl, but now I'm sad as she is entering into a new stage. She is growing up so fast!

Putting up Christmas

The day after Thanksgiving is always the day Christmas goes up. I can never put it up before Thanksgiving, its just wrong in my book! I worked with the boys putting the kid tree upstairs while Cambria helped Dad test the outdoor lights. Each year the kids get to pick out a new ornament to add to their tree. Tatum picked a baseball player, Trey picked a transformer and Cambria added our first pink ornament. Cami was so fascinated by the lights, she loved them!

I handed Tatum the camera to get Cambria putting her ornament on the tree...

It took me a whole weekend to get my Christmas stuff up this year. Why is everything so much harder with a baby :)

6 Months Old

On Dec 7th my sweet Cambria turned 6 months old. I can't believe she is already 6 months! Its probably harder for me to accept because she is still the size of a 3 month old. I took her into her Dr. apt and here are her stats: Weight 12 lbs (0%), length 24.5" (5%), head 39.8 (2%). I have been trying to get her to gain weight by feeding her as much as possible and I thought for sure she was gaining weight, but these stats prove otherwise. She is just always going to be my petite little girl.

Cambria is a such a joy in our family. Every single one of us is just smitten by her. She NEVER EVER cries and is always so content and happy. At 6 months old she can roll over, talks all the time and is starting to imitate us, she loves her oatmeal and is just barely working on sitting. The other day I was helping her sit up and she kept falling over. Trey was in the room and said "Mom you should put some tape on her bum so she doesn't fall anymore". Such  a good idea buddy :)

Cambria has figured out that she always has a bow on her head and she isn't always happy about it. She always pulls them off and eats them.

Every where we go this stunning little miss gets compliments. I can never get out of the store without being stopped by someone who wants to see her. She just smiles at complete strangers and is just so pleasant. I love my baby girl!

Breakfast with Elfie

Every year on December 1st our Elf, Elfie, comes to our house. He always brings with him breakfast for the kids and a small surprise. The kids get so excited knowing that Elfie is coming the next morning that they rush downstairs to greet him. Both of the boys were sick that morning and stayed home from school so they both look kind of sad.

Elfie always starts off our Christmas season and its so fun to have him around the house. He brings so many fun memories for the kids and they go to bed so well knowing that when they wake up they get to see his new hiding spot. We love Elfie!

Thanksgiving Day

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. I love everything about Thanksgiving. The smell of the turkey cooking, being around family, watching football and relaxing after a big meal...its all so comforting.

This year my Dad was in town the whole week before Thanksgiving and he left the day before so we got to spend a lot of time with him and then Thanksgiving day with Eric's family. We had a wonderful meal which included 2 turkeys and a ham and about a dozen different delicious pies. We also got to celebrate "Jakes-giving" again which is Jakes Birthday on Thanksgiving. Aunt Katie put together the cutest kid activities and kids table. The kids all had their own Indian name, Tatum was "Eye of a Tiger" and Trey was "Cheetah Speed". And of course once everything was winding down Eric and Trevor went black Friday shopping and scored some awesome deals!

5 months old

My little Cambria is now 5 months old. At 5 months old Cami only weighs 11 lbs 6 oz. She is holding her head up great and trying to roll over. She can't quite figure it out yet but she grabs her feet and rolls from side to side. She sleeps all night still and is trying to hold a bottle. She laughs out loud and loves loves loves her brothers, who can get her to laugh harder than anyone else.

I try to get the camera out every month to capture how much she changes, so here are some of my favorites from her 5 month "photo shoot".

We also got out her exer-saucer to see if she liked it yet. Well she loved it. I wish I got my camera out sooner to catch her initial reaction, she was so excited! Of course like every time she sees the camera, the smiles go away and I get this stunned face. Haha silly girl.

Love my little petite girl!

Hee Haw Farms

At the beginning of November our primary did an activity at Hee Haw Farms. The farm was closed down for the season but opened up the place just for us. Seeing as I was slacking this year and didn't take my kids to single pumpkin patch, I thought that I better take advantage of this. I'm glad that I did. My boys loved going down all of the slides and climbing on bales of hay, playing in the corn pit and holding all of the farm animals. The only down fall was that it was so freezing cold! We had a few hours to spend there but after about an hour I couldn't feel my hands anymore and the baby that I am said it was time to go!
