SiMpLifY

Have you ever had one of those moments in your life where you realize that its the simple things that make you happy? Well I had such a moment last night. I watched an episode of Grey's Anatomy where a little baby was born with some health defects. The baby was fine, but she had to go through a lot. I have always had a hard time watching a child in pain, but it has intensified since I became a mother. Well after this episode I went in to check on Tatum and as I gave him a kiss he woke up. Normally I would be a bit annoyed or bugged by the fact that I had just awoken my sleeping baby and that he would not go back to sleep, but tonight I was happy. I picked him up and rocked him back to sleep and just held him in my arms for about an hour. I was happy to know that I am so blessed to have a healthy happy baby and realized that it truly is the simple things in life that make you happy. It was so nice to sit there and not worry about anything. About taking the trash out or putting the laundry in the dryer or taking the dog out. It made me realize that I need to take advantage of these precious moments before I no longer have them. Tatum is growing up so fast and it has been a long time since he has let me rock him to sleep. After a long day, having a moment like this makes it all worth it!

They're Here

Roxy had her PuPpIeS!! For the past week Roxy had been acting really weird. She didn't want to go outside or play or pretty much do anything. We knew she was getting close to giving birth, but we didn't realize just how close she was. We started to read online about what to expect and the signs of labor and sure enough she was in labor. Wednesday night Roxy kept us up with her growling and moaning. We knew the next day she would have her puppies. So after a long night, around 8:00am on Thursday she had 2 adorable puppies. We thought that she would have about 5 puppies but she only had 2. So here they are, one is black like the Dad and one is spotted just like Roxy....

aren't they cute? I had a hard time getting some good pics of them...Roxy is a bit over-protective. The pictures don't show how small they really are, one is the size of my palm. But Roxy and the puppies are doing great!

Tag...Im it!

I got tagged... I have to name 10 facts about myself and then assign 3 others to do the same.

1. I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch for about 2 years. It was the first job I ever had and although I didn't get paid very much it was the best time of my life. Some of my closest friends came from working there and we had some great times together!
2. Growing up in California I have had my share of encounters with famous people. Here are just a few of them... I went to a taping of "Friends" and met the cast...I had lunch with Paul Walker...
I used to Trick-Or-Treat at Kevin Costner's house...and I went to High School with Zachary Ty Brian (from Home Improvement)...
3. The longest I lived in one house is about 3 years, which is almost how long Ive lived in my current home.
4. I can't stand dry skin! Every night I have a ritual of putting TONS of lotion on my feet and elbows before I can even get into bed.
5. My Dad is one of 12 kids which means I have about a Trillion cousins!! Every year for our family reunion we go camping in the Tetons. All together there are about 100 of us there...it is so much fun!!!This picture was taken a really long time ago...since then it has doubled!

6. I get "Addicted" to tv shows easily. Right now they are American Idol, Greys Anatomy, Lost and The Office.
7. I once was almost Kidnapped. Its kind of a long story but a short version is when I was little we lived in a house next to an alleyway and a guy came with a pony giving free pony rides. Our neighbor got on the pony first before I could and the guy took off. My Dad ran after him and got the girl and I was mad at him because I wanted a ride!!
This is about how old I was when it happened.

8. I love to clean my house, but I cannot start cleaning anywhere until I have made my bed. I guess its one of the many OCD things I do.
9. I secretly always wanted to be in a band. In high school we always said we would start a band and I would be the drummer. I guess thats why I love to play Rock Band so much.
10. Eric and I bred our dog Roxy and any day now she will have puppies!! Anyone want one?
Ok now I tag 3....Jana B. ~ Hayley B. ~ and Kelly M.

Cabin Fever

So here I am on a Monday morning back into the everyday routine after a much needed week long break (thanks Becky!) and what am I doing? BlOgGinG of course!! I find that is the case more often than not :)
Anyways I thought that I would share our fun and exciting trip to the cabin this weekend. Now Eric's family has a cabin in Fairview and in the winter they get so much snow! Eric's family loves to snowmobile and every once in a while they will plan a trip down there for the weekend. Well we decided that this would be a good weekend for such a trip. Unfortunately it was the first time I went down there (in the winter at least) since before I was pregnant! We had a blast! It was Tatum's first experience on a snowmobile...

and lets just say he is not a fan...YeT!!

The weather was PERFECT and so was the snow. We had a great time tubbing behind the snowmobile, snowboarding and jumping off the balcony into the snow! The only one downside to the trip was that this year they had so much snow that it actually did some damage to the cabin...

There was so much snow that a tree fell down and the ceiling started to cave in!! It was a bit scary, but we were in no danger:)

Also here is a funny story... My Father-in-law's best friend has a cabin next door to them and he came along to go snowmobiling. He is a little bit on the crazy side, to say the least. Well there are a few small lakes close to the cabin and one of them is not frozen all the way over. Jim (the crazy best friend) loves to be a bit daring on the snowmobile and decided to snowmobile across this lake. Now they have done this before and it was fine, but this time he had a different snowmobile and guess what happened? Thats right it SuNk!! Jim swam down to try and save it, but it was 10 feet under water! Back at the cabin they had a canoe and took it out to the lake to fish out his snowmobile. We weren't there to witness this but wish that we could have seen it. Lets just say that his trip was over after this last stunt!

Here is a video similar to what happened...

Should I be Concerned?!?

Yesterday I walked into my room and found this....

Am I going to have a problem teen on my hands? Should this concern me???
