The inevitable...

Thats right, we have listed our house for sale! This was really such a last minute decision, but I think it is the right one. We originally were just going to refinance, but our loan agency called us on Monday and said we needed to sign the papers today or we lose our rate. So Eric went in there and found that it was going to cost us about twice as much as we thought. We either had to decide at that point if we wanted to stay here for another 2-3 years or move. Those were our ONLY options! Eric signed the papers for the refinance and they told us we have until Tuesday morning to back out. All night we talked about it and didn't feel good about the refinance and literally minutes before our deadline, we backed out! Just a few hours later we listed our home and will now just play the waiting game. I am really nervous about the whole thing and I think we are taking a huge risk, but I know somehow it will all turn out. I am so sad at the thought of leaving my neighborhood and my home of 4 years! I have so many great memories here and have made lifelong friends.

...I secretly hope it doesn't sell, to spare myself the grief of moving;) Just kidding, now I have jinxed myself!!

Just for fun I made a blog with pictures to help sell our house. Here is a link to it if you know anyone who would be interested!

If you do end up selling your house where do you want to move too? We tried selling ours 6 months ago it was a pain I want to move to Utah County so bad. Well good luck!

Good luck! Selling is stressful but moving is always exciting. Our neighbors down the street sold their house within 10 days of listing it so maybe the market's not as dry as it seems... :-)

So funny to read your story because we are in the exact same boat. It was either refinance or sell and we picked sell. I am scared to death to make that jump but thankfully I feel better now than when we first listed and now I really want it so sell!! Our home has been listed for a little over 2 months and we haven't had to much interest. Tough market right now. I hope you have better luck than us.

=( I know what you mean though. You just have to go with what feels right even when it doesn't seem like what you would choose for yourself. Good luck. We will miss you guys. It will probably sell pretty easily. That is a way good price for that much house.
